The Australian National Minimum Wage increase in July 2017
The minimum wage in Australia will rise to $18.29 per hour, or $694.90 per week, from the 1st July 2017.
An estimated 2.3 million low paid workers will see the benefit from this rise of about $22.20 per week.
It is an annual rise of 3.3%, and brings the annual minimum full time wage to $36,134.80, based on 52 weeks at $694.90

The Minimum Wage rate for July 2013 was $16.37 per hour or $622.20 per week.
The Minimum Wage rate for July 2012 was $15.96 per hour or $606.40 per week.
The Minimum Wage rate for July 2011 was $15.51 per hour or $589.30 per week.
The Minimum Wage rate for July 2010 was $15.00 per hour or $569.90 per week.
The Minimum Wage rate for July 2009 was $14.31 per hour or $543.78 per week.
