Australia has a National Minimum Wage
As at July 2015 the Australian National minimum wage is $17.29 per hour or $656.90 per 38 hour week (before tax).
This applied from the first pay period after 1 July 2015
Casual Workers, under the National Award, are entitled to a minimum 25% extra loading.
The National rate for July 2014 was $16.87 per hour or $640.90 a week.
Western Australia Minimum Wage:
As at July 2015 the Western Australia State minimum wage is $17.89 per hour or $679.90Â per 38 hour week (before tax).
Casual Workers, under the Western Australia State Award, are entitled to a minimum 20% extra loading.
The above rates are all for ADULT wages, 21 and over.
