The Hays Quarterly Report is a guide to current hotspots of recruitment activity and trends.
It is updated each quarter to reflect changing market conditions, and shows things such as; which skills are in demand, what recruiting, salary or candidate trends are impacting each sector.
Under Accounting for example, the October report shows:
Cost Accountants at the $65,000 to $80,000 level are in short supply, while there is a severe shortage of Tax Accountants with Australian taxation experience.
and for Healthcare:
Within nursing, demand exists for Enrolled and Registered Nurses, ICU specialists and emergency department Nurses. Midwives are also in demand. The need is greatest in regional and remote locations, since candidates typically prefer metropolitan positions.
This report makes very worthwhile reading.
