Cost of Living in Australia
Many migrants say that the cost of living is substantially higher in Australia than in many other countries. This is particularly true if the persons income is from their home country, or they are not yet accustomed to life in Australia.
There are many factors to the cost of living; one being local knowledge of where to buy at the right prices. Â Example: Do you pay $4 per kg for potatoes, or just $1 if you know the right shops.
Moving country is not easy, and getting used to new prices, and new incomes, takes some getting used to.
