Canon Powershot A3100is Digital camera
As I am looking to buy a new basic camera, and I was looking at the Canon Powershot A3100is, I decided to check the prices in the UK in case it may be worth buying from there, and having it shipped over.
We do hear so often that many things are cheaper in the UK, especially with the value of the A$ at the moment.
The camera details are:
The PowerShot A3100IS features a 12.1 MP CCD sensor, 4x optical zoom lens and a 2.7 inch LCD screen making capturing great shots easy. Featuring Canon’s TruCapture technology to ensure you get the shot you want with Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer for clear, sharp shots; a DiG!C Colour Processor for true-to-life colours; and Intelligent Auto that makes taking photos easy.
$149.00 RRP
And the prices I have found are:
Australia: Â RRP $149.00 from www.canon.com.au
- $ 129.95 Ted’s Camera’s
- $ 149.00 OfficeMax
UK:  RRP £ 129.00 from www.canon.co.uk
- £ 84.20 Amazon (or A$134.72 at the FX rate of 1.6)
- £ 159.00 at Jessops (this price seriously puzzles me)
USA: RRP $159.95 from www.usa.canon.com
Battery type for this Canon Powershot A3100is camera is the NB-8L (Li-ion, 740mAh, 3.6V) with a shooting Capacity (full charge) of approx. 240 shots.
