457 Visa Program Review

There are currently 650 job types on the 457 visa program, and these are set to be cut by the Australian Government.

Various job types that are no longer ‘in demand’ should be removed from the list.

The most nominated occupations for the primary 457 visa holders at 30th June 2015 were:

1. 6,770 Cooks
2. 4,870 Cafe Managers
3. 3,460 Marketing Specialists
4. 2,780 Chefs
5. 2,700 Developer Programmers

These would be jobs that there are not supposed to be enough Australians available to do.
